Alnwick & District Local History Society

Formed in 1969, the Society was established to encourage interest in, and to advance the study of Northumberland, especially in the Alnwick area.

The Society has seven meetings a year, running from September through to April. The meetings will be held at the Alnwick Cricket Club on Weaver’s Way (NE661BX) on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with a start time of 7.30pm. There is no meeting in December and the AGM is held before the March meeting.

New members are always welcome. Just turn up on the night, or get in touch with the secretary.

Membership is £10 for the year and non-members can attend for £2 per meeting.

Twice a year the Society produces a journal, “The Bondgate”, which contains articles and research undertaken by the members. There are also regular book reviews.

The Society also keeps in touch with members by way of emails using the Mailchimp system. If you want to receive these emails please subscribe using the form below. You don’t need to be a member to subscribe. We won’t inundate you with emails and you can unsubscribe at any time.
