15 Market Street

This building once held Graham and Henderson a general grocer, tea blender, coffee roasters, flour, and provision merchants. The shop keepers in their long white coats contrast with the delivery boys each with their own method of transporting goods to customers. One has a basket, another a handcart and the third a horse and cart.

In 1906 Graham and Henderson put out a warm welcome to King Edward and Queen Alexandra when they visited Alnwick on 10th of July.

The building also housed a thriving business named Reavell Brothers Limited. The ironmongery and cycle sections were said to be particularly responsible for its success. Customers came from not only Alnwick but all over north Northumberland and the Borders and they eventually opened a Berwick premises.

The shop then became Proudlocks and trades under the name of House and Home.
