31-33 Bondgate Within was formerly the Globe Inn. It dates from the early C19. Historic England highlight the restored bow fronted windows, and central doorway approached by steps with curved railings, and complex glazing above. The earliest refernece we have found to the Globe Inn so far is from 1833. J. A. Wilson implied that it was originally converted long before that, from an earlier grocer’s shop.
