Post Office

The first Post Office was on Fenkle Street, roughly where the Penny Black is today.

By 1912 the Post Office was distributing old-age pensions, as well as serving a network of sub-post offices, and accommodating telegraph and telephone equipment. They moved from Fenkle Street to larger accommodation at 1, Clayport.

In 1941 a new Post Office was opened on Fenkle Street.
