Rope making Long, north-south running properties are shown (but not identified) to the north of Stone well and between Fenkle Street and Back Way on Wood’s 1827 plan. These are identified as rope walks on the first edition Ordnance Survey of 1863. OS 1866 sheet 6 shows Rope Walk alongside Corporation Hs Yard.
